Pottery Tools

Our pottery kits come with all the tools you need to get creative with clay, and more! Each kit comes with the basics including a wooden board to work on, a rolling pin, a potters pin tool, a ribbon tool, a wire cutter, a paintbrush, sponge and sandpaper. The larger kits come with specialised tools for modelling and sculpting tools such as rib, scraper and smoother tools. The tools are explained within the booklet that comes with the kit, including techniques for how to use them in your pottery work.

The tools can be used with any type of clay so you can experiment not only with air dry clay, but also kiln clay, from stoneware to porcelains. If well cared for, your tools should last a very long time and can be used over and over again.

Air Dry Clay

The Air Dry Clay included within our pottery kits dries naturally, so there is no need for an oven or kiln to finish your creations. The natural clay is sourced in England and reinforced with fibres which help to strengthen it as it dries.
